  1. Totally off topic, those boots, you're wearing during your sponsorship clip are so cute and cool all at the same time. I want a pair of them.
I really enjoy your videos, I'm so sorry about your microwave. My youngest ruined one of my microwaves, by overlooking popcorn. That thing had to go to the curb. The house even smelled awful for days.

  2. I Was so surprised when I saw that the Nutella container melted. I'm used to glass jars of Nutella. In Europe it's standard. To me plastic jars are better solution, because glass is heavy

  3. On the eggs there is also the trouble about where you buy it. Like in the US it's washed and cleaned, so the naturel wax isn't there to protect the egg and keeping it at room temperatur is bad. Here in Denmark they are not treated, but we still say and recommend eggs to not be stored at room temperature, because they need to keep the temperatur the same, the more it swings the worse it is. Though I do know many also use them after last sales date, as that is the sales date nor when it expires and keeping it in the refrigerator also prolongs the freshness. I remember seeing eggs on the shelf in Germany, as they also don't treat the egg, so that was weird to see and think that they still would be okay to use.

  4. OK, I really don't like 5 minutes craft.. They do only bs on their channel. BUT: I have never seen a Nutella glass that is made of plastic!
I guess 15 minute microwaving with the standard European glass jar would still be a. Bit much… But there wouldn't be burnt plastic!!!
    Maybe consider that?

  5. When you speak about different topics in videos (like the chicken chilling, the gluten in bread etc) it's so interesting sometimes I wished you could have a dedicated video on food topics and comment on trending food topics. Maybe for a patreon content or a special episode but I would love to support that 👍

  6. In the UK Nutella comes in glass jars, so to give 5 minute crafts the tiniest benefit of the doubt, they may not have been suggesting that you microwave a plastic pot (doesn't mean that the recipe would have worked though).

Also, the reason why chlorinated chicken is banned here isn't to do with the quality of the end product, it's because it could encourage cutting safety corners earlier in the process. For example, there are quite strict rules around vaccination, hygiene and medication of animals that are going to be eaten. If a chicken hasn't been vaccinated or tests positive for salmonella, then it is illegal to sell it for food. Basically, why would you need to kill something that shouldn't be there in the first place?

  7. It’s a fb post, but I’d love to know if this recipe pans out… I can’t eat wheat, but this would be nice for the family IF if works.

    1-2-3 Cake
You need two boxes of cake mix. One can be any flavor you prefer, but the other MUST be Angel Food cake mix.
Mix them together (shake them in a big bowl).
Then simply store the mixture in an airtight container until you get the urge for dessert.
Then just put three Tbsp. of the dry mixture in a big coffee mug and stir in 2 Tbsp of water.
Microwave it for one minute and you will have a single serving of cake!

  8. I work in a chicken processing plant in the US. Our plant handles everything from the hatching of the chickens to final packaging and delivery to buyers. I'm not sure what the chemical is exactly, but there's a strong acidic chemical they use on raw chicken meat we refer to as PPA that is used on all the raw chicken meat at various points in processing to ensure no bacteria spreads through the chicken.

  9. The reason why chicken in Europe (and for now Britain) is not washed in chlorinated water is because food safety and animal welfare standards are higher than in most other countries. With the higher standards, there is less need to wash the meat with chlorine to ensure bacteria are killed off.

  10. At my old job we used to melt butter with olive oil every morning in a hard plastic container. One morning this lady opened and she put the microwave on 4 hours instead of 4 minutes. It didn’t make it the whole 4 hours before everyone was like “What the heck is that smell?”
Even the plastic container had melted

  11. I'm trained in first aid/CPR and I have had to save a client from choking with the abdominal thrusts/Heimlich Maneuver, and it saved him. You never know when you might need to save somebody's life. Please take a course! Sometimes you can do it for free!

  12. I think i recall david mitchell once saying something like, if you have to do a study to see if two things that are so close to each other are different, then surely they aren't different enough significantly to matter.

  13. If eggs need to be refrigerated, then why in Europe. most European countries say refrigerating eggs is unnecessary?

In fact, with the cuticle intact, refrigeration could cause mildew growth and contamination.

  14. Is that not a bit like throwing the baby out with the bath water? Salmonella is a fairly isolated problem. Here in sweden and most of europe the food production regulations are strict enough that the risk of salmonella in chickens and eggs are almost nonexistant. In fact most cases of salmonella here in sweden is from eating imported vegetables., the last culprit was apparantly imported cucumber. Disregarding salmonella, is the method sound?

  15. Eggs in Waterglass is a quiet common recipe and my grandmother did that with fresh eggs from her own chicken. Here is a recipe from a modern german cookbook from the 2000s with meassurements: Eggs placed in water glass are sealed by silicon oxide. The liquid becomes gelatinous. Eggs preserved in this way will keep for three to six months. To 500 millilitres of water glass solution, add 4.5 litres of boiled cold water. The eggs should be clean, but preferably not washed (brush dry). Layer them in an earthenware jar with the tip facing down. Then pour in the water glass solution until it is about two centimetres above the eggs.
The solution is enough for about 100 eggs. They should be stored in a cool place.
