And I hope you can tell from the way I talk about it that I really do love what I do.

  1. Hey Charli, first of all, thanks for such a great video. It's great that I get to know more about marketing designers. I'm currently a product designer at an agency and asked to interview marketing designer candidates in the coming weeks. Could you give me an advice on what I should look for when hire marketing designer?

  2. Watching this in 2019, I have an upcoming interview for Marketing Designer in a week and like many, had no idea really what that is all about, although my skills all align exactly to what you're saying, so thanks for an absolutely awesome video, putting things in perspective. Wouldn't mind any tips for the interview from someone already smashing it in the industry.

  3. You nailed it! I have been searching on what I do as an inhouse designer. Most of them involved social media graphics, ads, pitch decks and marketing collaterals. I want to know more about this topic. Thank you!

  4. One of the 5 second things you pick up in philosophy/psychology is the impact humans have on colours. So it's interesting to know that they use/learn the same techniques as we do, but physically and not contemplatively.

  5. Thank you for showing that marketing designers do cool things. The freelancers and agency designers alway seem to get to carry the "cool" card. But there's generally better job security in marketing design, and a lot of great opportunities. I got to go to Europe for one of my marketing design in-house gigs, for example.

  6. Thanks for this video, Charli. Marketing Design is something not well talked about in the community. I'm very happy to have discovered your channel. I'm curious if you happen to have written somewhere a guide of brand/marketing designer levels or career growth framework. Thanks in advance.

  7. I actually stumbled into the same position and had a hard time to find the right name for it as they didnt have any real marketing at all before i stepped in. Now i know what people should be calling me if I get asked🤓.

  8. I actually also stumbled on marketing design and feel it's really valuable for brands that want to kill two birds with one stone. I've worked as an in-house Marketing Designer throughout my career.

  9. Im confused what is the difference between a marketing designer and a graphic designer? Cant you just be a graphic designer and then work at a company and then be called a marketing designer?
