In this video, I share the best platform to sell digital products for beginners on a small budget. If you’re looking to sell any type of digital product such as eBooks, guides, PDFs, templates, and printables, this platform is what I recommend you start with.
The platform is called Payhip. You can sign up free at https://aurelius.link/payhip
Payhip did not sponsor me to make this video so my thoughts expressed in this video are based on my experience and what I would genuinely recommend to those starting out.
Here are just a few reasons why I suggest Payhip if you’re just starting out:
1. $0 to start and no monthly fees or subscriptions. You only pay a transaction fee of just 5% + Stripe/PayPal fees.
2. You can create a store to house your products using its store builder.
3. Built-in marketing such as cross-selling, upgrades, affiliate program, email marketing and more.
4. Sell online courses. Your students will be able to login to a portal to go through your course with an LMS (Learning Management System) style interface.
NOTES:
• To clarify, Payhip’s fee on its free option is 5% + PayPal/Stripe fees. Gumroad is 9% + 30c per transaction but the 9% already includes the payment processing fee.
• Payhip does not market your product for you. It isn’t a marketplace like Etsy. In the end, you have to do your own marketing of your products/services.

dopeness!
First one to comment. 🙂 awesome video, as always
Platform is garbage
PayHip UX sucks
Appreciate your encouraging and insightful reviews Mr Tjin – keep up the awesome educational and uplifting videos.
Thanks to you I started using Payhip, but I couldn't figure out how to set up my landing page 😂 I need to revisit because I'm using Gumroad and their lack of a shopping cart is less appealing
Thanks for the video. I just finished my ebook and have been trying to decide whether to have a landing page, payhip or others.
man you deliver!
Just opened my payhip account. Hit a snag when I can't connect Printful to my Payhip store (which I was told should have been easy via Zapier) but new Printful API is complicated. I'm not tech savvy. I don't know coding. So now, I can only sell digital products on Payhip. Oh, and Printful tech support will only help you if your store is already making hundreds of thousands of dollars. So yeah, it sucks.
Just found you…what a Godsend 😊thank you!
Both of these are great platforms, even I created an account on both after watching one of your videos about this!
I think Payhip is much better
Thank you for your sharing. May I ask you how does Payhip work in order to promote your product ? Do you need to pay for advertising in order to promote and let customer find your product?
Thank you for sharing I’ll start using this today to promote my courses.
WOW! This is the first time I've heard of Payhip and oh my it seems amazing. Sure you give up a percentage on the free plan but if you're starting out and looking for a way to save, it's not a bad deal at all. Definitely will look into this more. Thanks for the great overview and sharing your experience too.
is payhip ideal if selling art printables?
Sounds interesting but these new platforms need to build reputation and brand awareness so users can also profit in that way marketing wise as you need people to visit their site. With a Payhip store it is different as you are more in control of direct marketing your store/url.
Very useful! I know I'm starting with a simple digital item but this shows me ways I can grow.
Thank you for uploading this video
Thank you! As always, an extremely informative video.🙏🙏
Isn't Amazon kdp much better?
Thank you. This was helpful. I've been building a comparison table of the usual suspects and had narrowed it down to PayHip and Gumroad. Your quick demo helped me figure out which one to go with it (PayHip). I will use your affiliate link to sign up and get started. Thanks again! 😃
Can one promote affiliate products on payhip from clickbank and others
Hi Aurelius…payhip, gumroad, koji doesnt work in Pakistan bcz there is no paypal or stripe 🙁
Thank you because I was kinda torn between the two, but your explanation of the fee structure made up my mind.
How about odoo?
GumRoad is the road that has ALL of the chewing gum that you would EVER need! Bubble Yum, Juicy Fruit, you name it! Yum Yum lol. 😆
Have you been working out, Aurelius? You definitely look in good shape! Thanks for the great video as always!
I love Payhip, so easy to use & manage, totally straight forward, impressive range of tools & personalisation options too!
I've heard Payhip and yes I've registered but I don't have product to sell yet.
Aurelius, another homerun! Thanks so much for your willingness to share, but more importantly, the honesty and depth of your explanations. Wish otehrs were as genuine and authentic! Keep up the great work, I definitely appreciate it!
Gumroad 9% — Payhip 8% (5% + 3% for payment process) that's not that big of a difference.
Aurelius, for what I understand, PayHip charges $5 a month to host the videos for the online courses and Gumroad doesn't charge anything to host the videos of your course. And also, 5% commission + 3% for the collecting platform is almost the same as the 9% of Gumroad (I think the 9% includes all fees).
Can anyone confirm if this is right?
Thank you Aurelius for your didactic explanation. I have two questions about Payhip platform:
1. How does Payhip handle taxes? In Europe there is a tax called VAT that is included when a transaction is made.
2. I understand that payments for the purchase of books are made through a Payhip payment gateway. I would like you to confirm this point.
A very clear and useful guide! Excellent work! I wanted to ask: is it possible to sell the same products on different sites?
Thanks 👍
Nice sharing dear brother 🙏💐
You are just excellent!
Is tgere anything in canva or somewhere where i upload any cartoon picture and rather i have to draw it it automatically generate that picture into editable png?
Great advice, thank you for sharing.
TU ES TRÈS BEAU ET DOUÉ 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Aurelius, as always great content!
Thanks Aurelius. This was very timely for me and helpful. For a $0 investment to dig in and see if it works for what I am planning is definitely worth my time.
wow! you give great tools and resources. I cant wait to use one of these platforms to sell my digital products and course! Thanks.
