  1. so yes, your shots with this lens look absolutely fantastic, but that price especially as a hobbyist just no way. also, i really appreciate how you highlight the build quality!

  2. It isn't just making money from photography, it's making a lot of money from photography to pay for this lens. Canon has always produced great glass, but at 3100 your prices to your clients have to be set and set high. For videography, if I'm paying 3100 per lens, I'm going with pro-level Cinema lenses with T stops so that I can repeat my focusing for focus pulling. The non-DS 85mm f1.2 is about 2799. Canon's and even Nikon's (Z), third-party options, are low, but if you can afford it and it fits your workflow, get it, but like you said Pav SZ, this isn't a lens for the faint at heart. or even some pros.

  3. Great review as always! A very expensive lens for a very specific target group in my humble opinion. Since I see you "touching" the canon ecosystem i would like to see your opinion on the 28-70 f2. Greetings from Greece!! βœŒοΈπŸ‘

  4. Great review! As always, the pics looks real nice πŸ‘ Can you please make a video on your workflow? Would be great to know more about your edits/presets. Thanks for your work!

  5. I love the 85mm 1.2. It is such a nice lens. I really hope Sony or Sigma makes one, if they did, I’d order one right away (if costs less than the Canon price)
