COMPUTEX Symposium :On Global Smart Vehicle Trends

According to Gartner, automotive semiconductors are expected to grow at a CAGR of 16.5% until 2026. This growth rate is expected to apply for various components including: power control units, environmental sensors, internet of vehicles (IoV) devices, cockpit audio/ video systems, integrated central control units (ICU), etc.

The main drivers of the semiconductor industry’s increased demand will include: power semiconductor devices, intelligent communication modules, AI chips, etc. Gartner also added that spending for electronic components in electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and other in-vehicle products is expected to increase by 50% by the year 2030.

To address the future development trends of smart vehicles, the Asia Silicon Valley-Major League IoT and COMPUTEX hosted the Global Smart Vehicle Executive Forum during SEMICON Taiwan 2022. The speakers of this event shared their insights on the current status of automotive semiconductor applications and the future developments of the industry from the business, technology, and demand perspectives. For professionals who are interested in entering the smart vehicles industry, the speakers also focus on the development and trends of automotive semiconductors and their applications in smart vehicles.
