How To Build A Website in 2021

Everyone should have their own website. It’s something I’ve always stood by and in this video I’ll be going over everything you need to know about setting up a website from why create a personal website to how to pick a platform & domain and, finally, what to do with it once you have it.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Start using Ghost:

My housemate Sheen has been working on her personal website for a while now and her life has changed because of it. Check out her project here:

  1. Hi Ali, I'm thinking to start a blog for a long time. It's not about anything serious, no business involved. I'm an absolute beginner in this field; plus, as a doctor doesn't have much time either. I just wanted to share my paintings and a few stuff that I like to write about. But I'm wondering how different is a website from a blog. I tried to google it, but it's still not clear. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Thank you. Simple, straightforward. I liked that it's "I just had the idea to start a blog 3 seconds ago" to have something published in a week. With some general long-term goals to give direction past "just write/post." Google search was a lot to shift through when you don't know what you need to know. Glad I got this recommended to me today!

  3. I'd like to take issue with the part where a Google domain is recommended and "just link it to the Ghost account." It was a helluva lot more involved than that. I'd also recommend NOT purchasing a Google domain. Go elsewhere.

  4. I'm hoping this video will or has changed my life(I don't know how that makes sense lol). I've got a lot of plans at this point and I hope I can make good on them. Thanks Ali! Love the channel.

  5. This is my second time viewing this video. Thanks once again Aliโ€ฆ I am at the point of wanting to set up my website and your advice and ideas are so valuable (I wasnโ€™t ready first time round๐Ÿ˜Š) ๐Ÿ˜˜

  6. I'm THIS many years old, and I feel like you just changed my outlook for reals! LOL
Thank you so much for your transparency and for being aware how daunting website creation may be. Shout out to your house mate! That helped a lot!

  7. 14 dollars a month is still a little steep, but I like the nice graphics design I can do for my site on SquareSpace.
Do you know any platforms that's cheaper, but still solid for giving your site solid presentation and organization, like SquareSpace?
