How to Look Good on Zoom with GLASSES [ Day & Night Lighting Set up NO GLARE]

How to look good on zoom with glasses. If you have glasses you know that a lot of times you can see the computer screen reflected and whatever light you have lighting you. Whether you call them reflections or glare, the truth is they suck because it’s distracting and hides your eyes.

In this video, I’m going to teach you why glasses create glare and how to understand the light so you can set up light that makes you look better for zoom calls, video conferences, and online teaching without the reflections.

  1. I would like to see the same demo with non-reflective (polycarbonate) lenses. I wonder if the handle of incidence is as important. Also to note with ring lights is that it projects a reflection on the pupil. It is highly distractionary to see round white circles in a rounded pupil.

  3. Gia’s no nonsense cheerful attitude is very contagious. And yes, I have come your very useful first video.
I like that you mentioned that if you get X amount of support and likes, you can get ”monetized,” which is only fair, for providing a free service. (I knew that happened somehow, but never knew what it took.)

Your videos that are very nicely paced and professionally done. Though you make it look effortless, I know there is a lot of your hard work behind the scenes to achieve this. Your effort is noted and appreciated.

  4. Love your energy. I have a glasses iss. I'm a grandma, and wear progress (bifocal) lenses. I can't see well on video chat unless I tilt my head back and look down. And even then not great.
It is awkward and I look weird. Is there any help for this? TY!

  5. i love your videos ..inspired me to start my Diva'stwocents. Please see and give me constructive criticism regarding the lighting you refer to…thanks a million Diva M (yeah it is my real name:))

  6. YOU JUST SAVED MY LIFE! Thank you for this. I have a job interview tomorrow and need glasses to see the screen. I spent about 2 hours finding the perfect place in front of a window and then finding a way to prevent the reflection in my glasses. (which means I have to remember how to angle my head and NOT look up!) I did pretty well (I'm a graphic designer so I understand a bit of the theory you taught), but now that I know if I block the light from the window, I can cut the glare even more. LOVE the content. You're great! Love the pep talk at the end. Hugs to you!

  7. Gia, I just came across your videos. I tutor online all day and had multiple lighting issues. I say had because since I saw your videos and made a few adjustments I no longer have those problems. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!! BTW I immediately subscribed to your channel. Keep the videos coming!

  8. Gia, the information you share is so helpful! The BIG bonus though, is your personality!! Happy go lucky, enthusiastic, and great attitude! Your love for teaching make your videos so engaging! 💛💛💛

  9. Hi: I am very happy that I found you! As you can see for my pic I am not a "millennial" 🙂 and I need all the help I can get to make the best of my computer skills 🙂
Question: Do you have any tips for "FB pagers" ?
Thank you Gia! See you next video 🙂
    Lucia.

  10. How do you get a great looking zoom view without having a big window to sit in front of? Is it better to have artificial light behind, infront, or above your face/computer screen? I have problems with shadows and my face looking dark and having shadows on my neck that almost looks like I have multiple chins. Not good! Thanks Nic

  11. Gia…your energy and vulnerability is captivating. Great advice, incredibly delivered. I agree with Ian, the world needs more Gia's and so glad you're ratings and subscribers has rocketed..!

  12. I love how hyped she is in this video about getting to 6,000 subscribers in 2021 and now in 2022 she’s at over 105,000 subscribers.
