Currently preparing for my CFA exam and your video helped a lot. Thanks for your clear explanation.
But you had to pay capital gain taxes on selling etfs, right ? I am not sure if that is worth it.
Rose! Thanks for your advice, it was very helpful! Sounds like index funds is the way to go!
Thank you for this!
What is the platform at 8:29? Is it some internet bank or what?
You actively just made me wealthy. Ty.
Well explained I appreciate 🙌 I earn passively investing in dividend paying stocks & ETF's a noob with the help of an excellent broker who handles my trades & ever since, I’ve had no cause to regret.
Incredibly informative and clear
Is the VUSA ETF an index fund?
Excellent explanation of the differences. I am a 71 year old who spends his time swing trading energy related stock on European and US markets. I often wondered about the differences in the type of funds and, even though I don't deal in them (my bank handles those) I was really impressed with this presentation. Thank you.
Are you single? 😆
Long term let say 10-20yrs would they be a difference on the ROI between Index Fund and ETFs ?
You explained this so well! Thank you!
This may be a dumb question, but what do they teach you in fianance school? If they don't cover investment stuff like ETFs and Funds what did they fill 4 years of college with (not trying to be rude with that question, just geniuenly curious what IS taught in a Finance degree)?
such a great, understandable and consice video – thankyou
Thanks a lot.
Brilliant. Thank you for making seemingly complicated concepts very layman. Crisp! You are so good!
!!!
i love youtube
Thank you so much for this informative video!!!
Don’t ever use that background music again
This was so clearly explained. Thank you.
This is life changing
Thank you so much❤🔥
This was great, much needed explanation for me. Thank you Rose!
How about SPX?
Thank you Rose I took the plunge two years ago now I'm with Fidelity investments and I'm doing great thank you!!👍🏼
Heads up: You have to deposit a minimum of 3k to obtain an index fund.
I want to invest in an index, but robinhood only sells ETFs.
I actually learned something and I didn't need a cartoon to show me. I'm really glad you make it simple to understand 🙂
SO simple and helpful – THANK YOU!! Just subscribed to your channel!
Good job ! 👍🏽
Great explanation. Thanks
Awesome Video, i have to be part of this.
God bless you. I enjoyed this.
great video but you forgot to mention some pros of ETFs are also that they usually have smaller expense ratios than comparable index funds and require a smaller minimum investment (starting at the price of one share) which can be seen at 5:21 in the video
Thanks so much for this!
Beware of mutual funds' management fees aka expense ratios. They are hidden fees that aren't on your monthly statement. Some can run as high as 1% or more….eroding your positive returns in the long run.
People prefer to spend money on liabilities, Rather than investing in assets and be very profitable.
but a minimum of $3k is required to invest in an index fund. an ETF has no minimum deposit. This is a really huge point that a beginner would need to know, i feel like this video has missed out a few really important things to consider, especially for beginners.
bro, you're the best !!!
How do you go to finance and never learn the “ basics” in school ? lol…rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..lol
They say you can’t time the market, but my gut told me to bail out on 12/30/21 . The rest is history, as we all see what is going on 9/29/22. ✅💯 the 500 is still correcting so pay attention to many sources….and make your decision…it’s a “rational-gut” thing… if ure young you are ok … back in -October 19, 1987 I was a young lad who just opened an Ira 2x yrs before that …we did ok.
Pov: discover the reinvestment of dividends (I'm not saying this with offense, you are very good and have much more experience than me)
Anually fees!!! Hell NO!
Casinos style “collection”
Great video!
What do you use to edit your videos
Crystal clear! 😄
Do index funds offer dividends? I researched that ETFs offer that. Asking for clarification as I'm a beginner. Thanks for this great video!
I just wanna know who sponsored her. These days too many of them and hard to know which is which.
