INFJs Are BORING! (7 Interesting Reasons)

Why are INFJs seen as boring? What are the INFJ’s boring traits? The INFJ is one in 16 Myers-Briggs personality types, making up roughly 1-2 percent of the population. “INFJ” is an acronym which stands for Introversion (I), Intuition (N), Feeling (F) and Judging (J). These four core characteristics describe the cognitive functions INFJs use the most to navigate through life.

INFJs are typically never bored! Yet, in general they do risk being seen as boring by the masses, because of some of their peculiar misunderstood traits! What could these be? Let’s take a closer look! (Narrated by an INFJ male!)

  1. I used to think I was an INTP, or maybe an INTJ, but somehow those never really seemed to fit. Watching your videos, I can relate to virtually every INFJ characteristic you mention. So, I may be an INFJ. Whatever the label, I'm happy to see that there are more people like me out there. And I appreciate the information you are providing. Thanks for another great video!

  2. This is really spot on. I could already empathize with what I knew about being an INFJ. However, everything in this video seems to resemble my thoughts a lot.
I don't know whether we are truly perceived as boring by the other types though. It seems to be more inside my own head that I sometimes fear that I must be boring to them instead them feeling I am boring.

Also, I do not feel very excited about vacation or things like that as well. I find the notion of going to places to be quite an enterprise with relatively little reward for the effort. Do other INFJs share this "boring" attitude also?

Also, I found the observation that INFJs are well behaved/non-rebellious during their teenage years to be very fitting. I always felt it was very immature of others who did behave like that. And hating on social media is spot on too, though that nowhere near as exclusive to the INFJ. More people seem to get tired of it I notice.

The only thing I am worried about is finding a partner in life. I'm 35 years old and counting…. I guess that is (sadly) very typical INFJ too.

  3. I am an older INFJ, and while some may consider me "boring", I entertain the sh!t out of myself! And, no matter how "alone" I am, I am never bored. When I am around people I'd prefer to not be around, most people, that is bordering on boredom, though…
