When Neil Patel started his channel, his videos followed a fairly simple formula of Neil talking in front of a white screen for 1-3 minutes. In the intro, he’d ask people to subscribe. And in the outro, he’d invite people to check out his agency.
However, he’s recently decided to pivot his strategy.
He’s beginning to create more TikTok-style videos which include a lot of B-roll and even don’t ask people to subscribe. They’ll combine the meat and potatoes with humor and entertainment to keep people watching.
With people’s dwindling attention spans online, it’s important to figure out ways to keep the eyeballs moving so people will stay engaged with your content.
