Job 1: A Skilled Tradesperson

Once you have a skill no one can take it away from you. This includes everything from Plumbers & Electricians to Carpenters and even Elevator Mechanics!

These skills are in high demand and can justify wages up to $68,000 per year. This is also growing each year as the number of skilled trade jobs is far outpacing the supply of workers.

Job 2: An Air Traffic Controller

Imagine sitting at this really cool desk and earning up To $122,000 per year.

Air traffic controllers are responsible for directing the safe movement of aircraft arriving and departing from airports in order to prevent any collisions.

Job 3: An Influencer

Did you know that more kids now dream of being professional YouTubers rather than astronauts, according to a recent study?

I hardly find this surprising as they see their favorite influencers having the time of their lives, all while making millions per year.

Job 4: Radiographer

How does earning up to $69,000 per year sound to you?

Radiographers also called radiologic technologists, perform X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other forms of medical imaging to help diagnose illnesses and conditions.

If you have always had a passion for helping people and want to go into something medical-related then a radiographer is one of the highest paying jobs that doesn’t require a degree.

Job 5: An Executive Assistant

It can be extremely fun being the right-hand person of a business leader, you are both striving towards a shared mission and you can earn up to, a very respectable $68,000 per year!

Working your way up to being an executive assistant can be a very rewarding job, as it means doing something different almost every day.

Job 6: A construction site manager

The demand for construction managers will reportedly grow 8 percent by 2029, which is much faster than the 4 percent projected growth rate of all occupations.

You can expect to earn an annual wage of between $50,000 & $126,000.

A Site Manager within the construction industry is responsible for overseeing operations of the whole site on a day-to-day basis, and making sure a project comes in on time and on budget.

Job 7: An Artist like Videographers, Editors & Writers

The new generation is highly visual and we need artists to connect and sell products to them, which makes their skills extremely valuable.

The earning potential with this is truly unlimited, it just all depends on your ability to drive clicks and sales. The better you are, and the more value you add to your clients or employer, then the more money you will earn.

Job 8: An Insurance Claims Adjuster

The top 10% of Insurance claim investigators earn over $100,000 per year. And the lowest 10% of adjusters earned just over $40,000 per year.

Some of the information a claims adjuster collects includes police reports, witness statements, photos of an incident, or property damage.

Job 9: Professional Gaming Athlete

Being paid good money to play computer games competitively sounds like a dream come true…

The average professional gamer earns $60,000 per year. If you are really good you can earn millions. Gamers make their money in a few different ways such as tournament prizes, salaries from being in a team, bonuses for doing well, sponsors, and of course streaming.

Job 10: High Ticket Commission Sales Person

Many high ticket salespeople choose to work on a commission basis, selling other people’s products or services to a list of potential clients who have already shown interest. This means that once you learn how to sell, essentially your income is unlimited.

  1. Included in item #10, Mark briefly mentioned houses and most people might just assume he means being a Realtor. Keep in mind, appraisers & mortgage professionals can earn an average of up to $80-100k after just a couple years of experience & licenses. This is a very hot market to be involved in right now since the mortgage rates are low and the home prices are high, which means there's a high demand for financing due to the low rates, and the commissions are more lucrative due to home prices skyrocketing.

  2. I'm only here because I'm not guaranteed into the Grad program for my major. I'm already certified as a security officer from my High school Job shadowing opportunity, but I don't want to waste my life away. My anxiety from possible failure kills me, even though I'm going to get a Bachelor's debt free.

  3. This video is powerful. You just revealed so many great options. It’s strange how you can read these on a page and be uninspired, but like you said I guess as technology advances the value of the visual modality only increases. I personally have three trades and went to job corps- my resume is always glowing. I don’t worry about a degree- it’s just a piece of paper but nothing beats real experience. Thank you for sharing these other avenues in such a nice format: I was not even aware of half of them.

  4. I have a 5 year professional degree in Landscape Architecture. My job is pretty high stress with lots of liabilities and demanding clients. One of my hobbies is gardening and bonsai. After posting an ad offering services for Ornamental Tree Pruning, focusing on Japanese Maples, I'm making 4x my day job salary per hour. The work is sporadic but brings in about $500 extra per month. Then, with this extra income, I invest 100% into my dividend growth stock portfolio. College unlocks your mind but can ensnare you in massive debt while societal pressures can brainwash people into becoming insatiable consumers living paycheck to paycheck. I don't know exactly when it happened for me but, one day I decided that it's time to wake up and become financially free. This is my new quest and one day I want to retire to the Virgin Islands!!! 🙂

  5. One thing you failed to mention about becoming a air traffic controller is that there's a age cutoff for that career and it's 32 years old. I'm already in my 50s and that's a career I always wanted to do before becoming a airline pilot but unfortunately the FAA grounded me thanks to my health.

  6. someone please respond – i'm about to turn 30, i have been working my current job for 9 years and i hate it. i hate it because it keeps me in the town i grew up in, a small town with nothing to do, i also still live at home. i know how stupid that sounds but i don't see the point in moving out in town, when i really don't want to live here, making the eventual process of moving away more difficult. i didn't go to university and am not really qualified for a whole lot. i'm about to apply for a forklift license which basically guarantees a job anywhere, but again, i don't know if that's what i want to do for the rest of my life. if anyone has any suggestions or help, please let me know
