  1. I try to keep a 2 year supply of food and other necessary items on hand at all times. I buy meat on sale and home can it… Veggies on sale and either can or dehydrate them (fresh or frozen). Thank You AG for sharing this video 🙏 Kendra

  2. What are your thoughts on bioengineered food???We’re not obsessed w organic but we try to mix it up- most of the foods you showed here are bioengineered & DNA altered…. It says so on the packaging right by the “ingredients” list. I worry especially about feeding it to children.

  3. Thanks for sharing an exciting morning with your breakfast guests! When I started putting back things "in case of emergency" 2 years ago, I didn't realize how much money I was going to save. Everything costs so much more now! One example is the chicken I bought and canned for $1/lb on sale is now $3-4/lb! Thanks A.G.!

  4. That was great to have Teddy give you an alert that there were moose outside, good you were inside! Glad you were able to have good results this time with your Walmart order so take advantage when it does work. Happy to know you got Teddy's dog food, hearing from friends and family that they are finding some pet food in their areas in shorter supply. We like that brand of beans, but I do discard the seasoning packet and use my own ingredients. Haven't bought Suddenly Salad but did notice that they have it at the Dollar Tree but the boxes are so tiny. Found some dried cranberries at a small chain grocery store that is sweetened with apple juice instead of corn syrup so that is also an option. As you said food might still be in the stores but the quality, selection and prices might be very difficult and that time might happen.

  5. Well that got my dogs barking also! -all the way down here in New Mexico.
I prefer to make my own soup, but boy when you get sick, or lose your water supply, cans of soup are great to have on hand.
I never considered dehydrating pineapple. Thanks for that hint.

  6. At least it didn't send your order to another state! This past weekend, I had an order ready to pick up in Maryland. They couldn't find it. I showed the clerk my phone, with their address listed in the app. They checked the computer; the only order in my name was in some store in way-back-in-the-woods Virginia. I get home, cancel the order and then waited for days to get the email saying they would refund it. When the email finally came, it claimed my order was at a store in Pennsylvania. Oy. I have to say, though, that is the only really bad screw up they've ever done on one of my orders.

  7. Rice cake topped with a soft cheese of choice, sliced apple or pear( thin) and drizzle either maple syrup, caramel or chocolate on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts . Yummy appetizer or while meal👍👍😋

  8. The business my husband is in has been a bit unstable over the last several years with companies buying out other companies and lots of restructuring – which can mean surprising job losses. We have been out of work three times in the last ten years and having three months of no income made our pantry our only shopping source. So glad we had food on hand!

  9. We need to find out if storing pet food in an oxygen free environment, such as a Mylar bag with an O2 absorber, is safe and would extend the shelf life of their food. I’m a canner and I have found several recipes on line for canning home made dog food. I had some old roosters that we dispatched and I made dog food out of them. Chicken, green beans, carrots and broth were in the recipe and I added cooked rice when I served it to my dog. My vet reminded me that a dog vitamin and mineral supplement would be needed, as well. I imagine in places with salmon runs one could share their cooked salmon with a cat. When I lived there we canned 13 cases of sockeyes (reds) in wide mouth pints after going dip netting. It was wonderful!! For now, I would put back extra of whatever they eat in your preps.
