Nowadays, Google is the go-to browser for the vast majority of people around the world. But, search as a whole is on a bit of a decline. This isn’t to say that Google is doing bad given that ad rates have skyrocketed over the past several years and advertisers take online marketing more seriously than ever. With that being said though, we have less of a need to search on a daily basis. If we’re looking for some sort of tutorial or walkthrough, most of us would prefer to watch a YouTube video on it and then read an article. Similarly, much of the news we consume nowadays comes from social media platforms like YouTube and TikTok as opposed to Google. So, the purpose of Google has been relegated to simply accessing quick information. But, the need for this is also shrinking rapidly. Chatbots like ChatGPT and Google Bard reduce the need to manually search and comb through articles ourselves. So, it looks like the days of traditional searching are quickly becoming a thing of the past. This video explains the decrease in search interest around Google and covers the main factors that could be leading to this decline.

I really want a search engine that gives me links on things I'm actually looking for instead of movies or songs with the same name.
Nobody is ditching google.
If you take the answers AI searches spit out at you at face value you need to have your head evaluated. Critical thinking is going to disappear as people take AI at face value.
I'm not ditching google
google search censored my search trying to fact check ifN "igga raya" is a real brand of a bus. Bing does not censor my search. Turns out it was a memes. While with Google I just cannot search.
bing still far from defeat google for it search engine. the simplycity of search result on google make it user friendly to use even with person who new in internet.
Umm. Have you seen the news lately?
Microsoft should start a youtube alternative. It will be able to compete and make google actually put an effort to improve youtube to compete for once
Success is not built on success. It's built on failure, It's built on fraustration. it's built on fear that you have to overcome. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life
I really like Chat Gpt but frankly Bing as a search engine isn't good. It might be possible that Bing didn't have enough users data to show accurate results and they can improve in future but I prefer google right now.
uuhhhhhm should we mention how Internet explorer has been closed and what happens to such a thesis?
Google is a search engine.. Adding chatgpt to bing makes it a productivity tool not a search engine.. So what we are discussing is not a search competitor.
im 5%
Your assumption that people are using less search engines seems off to me.
As someone who works in the tech field I use Google every single day regularly.
Even in my off time the speed and efficiency of being able to search for some random piece of information I need is a critical part of my life.
My use of search engines has only increased over the last 10 years or so and I don't see that trend reversing any time soon.
Google was my biggest friend as a programmer previously
Now, it's chatGPT. chatGPT is so incredible at answering programming questions, far better than stack overflow + google combined. I don't even have to scour through heaps of website before arriving at an answer that I actually need.
fuck google they are probably the mest corrupt search engine, for real
Bing is like a virus. It keeps making it self the default search. Bing is intrusive, just like Edge and Internet explorer.
Are you using google analytics to see how popular google is and comparing it to yahoo? I might be mistaken but isnt that dataset generated by what is searched on google?
For me, Bing gives beautiful wallpapers.
"How do you make a bomb?" Lol
result censorship is real reason why no one is using it.
ChatGPT is overrated
Bing has been low key improving over the years. I really like it and with the rewards I always use it as default.
I work at a charity, and we've all been told to switch to Bing because of the rewards program. You can earn points by using Bing and then use your points to donate money to a charity of your choice! Just 1 of many reasons to use Bing.
Metaboi is a robot, prove me wrong
ChatGPT is my go to for answer before google
Your description starts with "Google is the go-to browser". Please fix that mistake. Google is a search engine. Chrome is a browser.
Ngl i switched to Bing yesterday
ngl ive been using bing and ms edge for years now and ive always prefered it over chrome
Google is still King by a large margin in both search and browser. Right now it is still virtually impossible to convince most people that edge is a better browser. It really is, and even I admit I still use chrome because of the fact I have everything I do online and offline tied to it. It's convenient, and its familiar and for that matter I stick with them. Not because it's better, but because I know them, and I suspect the 70 percent of people who use chrome, and 85 percent who use google search probably think along these lines as well
I use Google hundreds of times per day. I love Google. I will be loyal to Google no matter what. I love Google like it's family.
Im still using google for school my school website is mad buggy on edge 😕
Message me in my messenger
Let's get this started before I go to m.y party place because some of there says I'm crazy and I already lost weight
I use Ecosia. It uses Bing as an engine, so you don't have to deal with the crap that is Google, while at the same time being one of the most private search engines out there, even more private than DuckDuckGo. AND it's carbon negative!
I still use search engines, is it just me or im not too fond of this AI thing, its never gonna be like in the movies they are never gonna take over its just another money making machine.
Google search became sucks and unrelated
1:50 Or maybe people just started to figure out that you don't have to Google "google" to search something….
I got access to Bing AI a couple days ago and its quite good. I was already a daily Bing user for the past two years (daily homepage image with some information on it, on this day, and of course rewards) but now with AI it's next level. Maybe not for all languages across the globe but I can definitely say Bing AI would impact quite a lot on Google's search business
