Freaking love your vids!!!! I so feel the things your saying!!!! I will stay my course and I wont give up!!!!
There is a saying it takes about 10 years or 10,000 hours to master a craft like math, art, music, programming, etc. Content creation (recording, streaming, video editing) have you wear so many hats itโs not funny and it takes a lot of time to wear those hats properly.
Becoming a real content creator requires serious knowledge and strong, rich, diverse skill sets. No wonder it pays better than most jobs when you become good because you have to pour so much into the initial investment. Just like when you invest you may not see great returns starting off, but those who hold on definitely will.
Thatโs why I am OK playing the long game because I understand itโs much like investing, it is a business that requires dedication and passion to your craft. The skills you gain are so worth it it should be a joy to take your time and hone your craft.
Once you are OK knowing it will take time to get there and youโll gain a loyal fanbase, amazing skills, solid knowledge base, and awesome relationships with other content creators it will become so much less stressful and fulfilling as you work towards your purpose.
I appreciate the timeline stats!
I started in 2013 and still havnt made it yet but I'm still trying
You've done it again, giving me a completely new perspective on YouTube with an entrepreneurial/business lens. Wow, this video was beyond inspiring and insightful. You are a gift to all content creators. "There is not even 1 mil creators in your niche that are super successful" That really opened my eyes the way you break down the vast amount of opportunity there is in every niche. I know that is especially true in my niche language learning. There is much room to go. Some of the most popular in my niche started only around 4-5 years ago. I am super excited.
The way you explained it really puts things in perspective. Good vid. Keep up the hard work ๐ช
Great video and puts things in perspective. It's video like this one that keeps me motivated to create, learn, pay my dues, remain patient and put my best foot forward. Thank for sharing this information it means a lot to a new YouTube creator like myself. Shameless plug " JMD JANITORIAL ".
I find it challenging and at times discouraging when it comes to my animation, but I do feel like there is a huge potential but I just canโt see it yet.
I paid a company on fiverr for videos, and all they did was steal videos from other people. I tried getting monetized, and got declined for using existing content.
Great video. Iโve been going really hard on YouTube for 18 months and Iโm at 15,000 subscribers.
It feels like itโs been a big success but Iโm in kind of a down space mentally right now because Iโm not earning the revenue I need from that to justify the hours spent on it.
Itโs a real grind
The problem is climbing through all the crappy content to get your videos a chance to be seen is so hard. It just feels like videos aren't suggested unless you're hyper niched down and then you see crap content doing well just because their niched down or are super clickbaity or things like that. I don't think people are owed views me included, it just sucks to feel buried in the YouTube algorithm
" thats a whole career"
But the requirements are getting more difficult. Making it even harder to start.
So glad to hear that there's plenty of room at the top. #elevateblackvoices
Fantastic video, as always. I really needed to hear this
I needed this today.
This gave me such hope thank you ๐๐พ
Roberto, this is the kind of video I needed to get my butt in gear. I have so much on paper for my channel, but just havenโt pulled the trigger. Thank you!
Itโs never leave yourself wondering what if????
I loved watching this! The stats were really interesting. My channel grew rapidly due to the pandemic, I have 11k subs and haven't made 100 videos yet. I like how you mentioned that there are so many different skills you need to learn in order to be successful on the platform.
Love this! I took a 5 year hiatus but didnโt realize the 9k I acquired before that was statistically GREAT!!! Thanks for the perspective
