  1. Great information – TY – but still confused. I'm an old timer – have an art business that I built on iweb. Obviously need to upgrade the entire site and also need to add e – commerce. The whole shebang needs to be simple – don't have the bandwidth to sort through WP. My current domain hosts just installed BoldGrid – but at first glance it seems sort of complicated. Any advice ? TIA : )

  2. For developers WordPress has platform to code and design the theme the way they want, in other end Wix have no place for you to code your site and make it they way you want. I would say Wix is good for good looking sites with less functionality but WordPress can give you strong ground in functionality by making your site interactive and connected to powerful databases.

  3. @websiteToolTester Very informative video exactly to the point. But I'm still confused that which one to pick.. My site requirements are just a normal Online E-Commerce Store where I can get a mobile friendly dashboard to upload my agriculture products and users can order them (Cash on delivery option only, Payment gateway not necessary (Though, never mind if its easy to start and manage) Please suggest which one to pick. It would be a great help to me.

  4. If I start with WIX and use that website builder for a while (a year for example), will it be difficult or impossible to transfer my blogs and other content to WORDPRESS at a later date?

  5. In 7 minutes, I have learned EXACTLY what I needed to know if I should use Wix or WordPress. I believe that I am ready for WordPress, but that is only because I have made a few website in Wix.

  6. Hello, I am researching a website builder to put my UX design portfolio together. I am very overwhelmed with the option to choose from. I do not have any coding experience and I think you need some when it comes to WordPress? I would like to have some features like including a sidebar and embedding interactive tools into the website. Do any of the website builders like Squarespace, Wix, or Webflow offer these features? Thank you.

  7. You are right about the plugins for WordPress I signed on through hostgator and canceled the subscription like 3 weeks later. I was expecting to blog immediately once I choose a theme too many codes on wordpress. I took more time trying to figure out the codes instead of the next article to write.

  8. I think WIX looks like a beautiful car with normal engine,
and WordPress is box shaped car with powerful engine .
    I'm not a pro web developer ,but that's my opinion ^_^ .
